---+ Home Page of SBAM software projects <br />%TOC% ---+ Computing resources The SBAM group has two main computing resources: * lisa * the GARR cloud While lisa is a machine hosted in the SBAI department, the GARR cloud is mantained by GARR. The lisa access [[LisaMachine][has a dedicated wiki page]], while the garr cloud info is listed below. ---++ The GARR cloud Currently there are three active nodes and the possibility to access the object storage for files archival and backups. The active instances can be accessed only from the Sapienza domain (if you need to access them from elsewhere, please setup a VPN). The available nodes are: * A node for general 'Medical Physics' applications [mpnode]: ssh -X -Y -C 90.147.188.13 * A node for activities related to 'MONDO' project [mondonode]: ssh -X -Y -C 90.147.188.196 * A node for acrivities related to the 'DoseProfiler' project [dpnode]: ssh -X -Y -C 90.147.188.132 Each node is equipped with 16 CPUs and a block storage of 2TB. ---++ Access to the block storage The GARR machines have access to the block storage. To have access to the block storage one has to: * Install openstack * Install rclone * Use the rclone commands [[https://cloud.garr.it/support/kb/openstack/rclone_quick_tutorial/][as stated in the following link]] * E.g. to list the command of an active container (listed below) you can do something like: <verbatim>rclone ls garr-cloud:backup_mondo</verbatim> * E.g. to copy a single file into a folder called testDir you can do: <verbatim>rclone -P copy garr-cloud:backup_mondo/neutron_files_nov19/proton_10MeV_mondo16_20_100k.root testDir</verbatim> To use the openstack/rclone commands one needs to have generated the application credentials from the GARR dashboard. Please contact the project admin (Alessio.Sarti@uniroma1.it) to have the credentials. To setup the openstack access: * Clear the environment variables using the unset.sh script [provided from A. Sarti] * Set the openstack env variables using the openrc.sh script [created from the dashboard, provided from A. Sarti] The active containers are listed below | Project | Name | Description | | MONDO | garr-cloud:backup_mondo | Contains the backup of the MONDO data. | ---+ Software Projects ---++ DAQ The DAQ interfaces are kept under SVN. To browse the available packages do: <verbatim>svn ls svn+ssh://USER@arpg-serv.ing2.uniroma1.it/Users/Shared/SvnRepos/TestBeamCode</verbatim> remember to change the command line specifying your USER. ---++ Decoding (analyzers) The decoders are kept under SVN as well. To browse the available packages do: <verbatim>svn ls svn+ssh://USER@arpg-serv.ing2.uniroma1.it/Users/Shared/SvnRepos/TestBeamCode</verbatim> Remember to change the command line specifying your USER. The packages that end with *Decode are keeping the decoders. -- Main.AlessioSarti - 2011-09-20
