GSI @ OCT

Aim

  1. We are going to use silvio as target. Monoenergetic: 200/220 MeV/u. PMMA or poly for modeling... Transversal dimension?
  2. One arm: chamber + LYSO (charged particles flux + shape along z)
Changed:
<
<
  1. Other arm: Baf + collimator

  1. Other arm: Baf + collimator+ CMOS ?

When?

Starting from 9-14 May. Setting of cave takes ~ 1 day. We are going to have 1-2 shifts.

  • We start the 10th of May
  • We end the 15th May

Tentative schedule

  1. To be done.

Where

Cave A.

Before 10 setting of the cave + quality check of the beam.

Mechanics

Rec with wheels. (dismounting)

Table + arms to hold detectors.

  1. One start counter BEFORE the phantom.
  2. One arm should move in theta: New BM + LYso
  3. One arm is fixed @ 90 degrees (collimator, BaF, veto)
Added:

Target
  1. 5x5x20 PMMA
  2. 20x20x20 PMMA

Calibration of detectors

  • Lyso: should we calibrate?
  • BM: how much time do we need to have ST relations? Look at BTF.... to see if we can use the old ST without new calibration
